Edible & Medicinal Plant Walk

Erica Wohldmann is one of the brilliant presenters coming to the Spirit Plant Medicine Conference (SPMC) this Oct. 29 and 30. Erica is a real master of plant knowledge and frequently leads these walks in Los Angeles and elsewhere in the U.S. Check out her bio on the SPMC website (www.spiritplantmedicine.com.) Here’s our version of her standard blurb for the walks.

“Would you like to learn more about some of the edible and medicinal plant allies that grow in the beautiful and lush city of Vancouver? If so, then please join me on Friday, October 28 for a walk in the Jericho Park area near UBC. We’ll discover the bounty of food, healing herbs and medicinal mushrooms that nature provides, ending our walk with a homemade snack made from wild foraged ingredients. The cost is $25, cash only please and payable on the day of. More details and the location will be sent after registration.”

There has been a huge amount of interest in this event. As of Aug. 30 it’s full with a waiting list. Check back later in case a second walk is added.

Note: Describing Erica as a “real master of plant knowledge” is no exaggeration. Check out her Ted X Talk where she tells the delightful tale of the six months she spent living in National Parks in the U.S. eating only the food she foraged. It’s a 13 minute talk called “An Urban Dweller’s Guide to Rewilding” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnCz7OlH3UI&feature=youtu.be
