Although mainstream news media is often biased under corporate ownership and control, media of all forms can nonetheless be useful tools for activists to draw attention to an issue. In this workshop, Anna Pippus, animal rights lawyer and Director of Farmed Animal Advocacy at Animal Justice will provide basic training in writing press advisories and releases, as well as offer tips on ways to interact with the media.
This event is organized by Animal Advocacy Camp on Unceded Coast Salish Territories. Workshop is by donation, all proceeds go to Spartacus Books to support their effort to provide a radical bookstore and community space for social change.
